I love sharing cool finds when I come across them and this definitely fits the bill.  Allow me to introduce you to COIN, a credit-card like device that can hold up to 8 of your credit cards, debit cards, gift cards, loyalty cards and membership cards.

COIN comes with a mobile application that allows you to upload all of your cards, however the 1st generation COIN is only able to have 8 cards programmed at a time.  When you get to a point of sale and need to use a card, you simply press the circle button to toggle between your cards and select the one you want to use.  You have previously given each card a nickname in the mobile application, so it’s easy to pick the one you need.  After that, simply run the card through the card reader like a normal credit card purchase.

Another feature that I know you’re going to love: let’s say you accidentally leave your card in the check holder at a restaurant.  When you are 25 feet away from the card your phone will alert you to the fact that you have forgotten it.  Additionally, a deactivation countdown will begin (with a time period you have pre-selected) that will deactivate the card when it’s been more than 25 feet away from your phone for the amount of time you selected.  Cool, huh?

If this sounds up your alley, jump now at the chance to pre-order.  Your card won’t arrive until summer of 2014, but you’ll get it at half price ($50 vs. $100).  I’m sure you have a billion technical questions, which can all be answered HERE.

You can thank me later for this awesome find.  I’d love to hear if you decide to try it out and what your experience of it is.  Happy shopping!
