Peruvian Chicken Lives Up to the Hype

by Sarah Novak on May 27, 2012

Last night we had our first taste of Peruvian Chicken.  I’d heard lots and lots about how great it was, but I was skeptical as to whether or not it’d live up to the hype.  Amazingly, it did.  It was moist, flavorful and had this fantastic spicy dipping sauce.  And my favorite part was that we ordered delivery, so it showed up on the back of a motorcycle (see below).  We ordered from Pardos Chicken, which is one of the more well-known makers of Pollo Brasa.  It’ll be on the must-try list for visitors.  YUM!

We’ve been fans of Peruvian chicken for a while now. Never had it in Peru but there were several stores close to where we lived in NoVa that were very good. I am sure it’s tons better in Peru, though, so glad you finally tried it and it lived up to the hype!

You have to try fried yucca with your Peruvian chicken!
