The Power of Love or “I Need You like I Need a Cure for Cancer”

Seriously, this is one of those great stories that was just meant to be shared and shared and shared!  I do hope you’ll pass it along too!

Was reading my friend Emma’s Facebook post talking about Oprah’s visit to Sydney.  One of Emma’s friends named Bethany commented below the post that Oprah had given her brother $250,000.  Of course that peaked my interest, so I inquired with Bethany about the story.  Here’s what I found out about Bethany’s brother Kristian:

Turns out the Kristian (who has cancer) made a beautiful video as a thank you and birthday present for his wife Rachel.  The video got quite a bit of viral publicity because it had the New Zealand Prime Minister and Hugh Jackman in it.  Oprah’s crew caught wind of it and invited to be on the show.  And then, in perfect Oprah form, she presented their family with a $250,000 check so that they could all take the year off and get well!
