Well, what do you know?! It’s Moving Day at Apartamento Novak! We are not-so-patiently awaiting the arrival of the movers, at which point chaos will ensue. Here’s a snapshot of what our place looks like at the moment.
Above: The Air Freight (cross your fingers that it’s under 600 pounds, because that’s all we get and we need most everything there!)
Everything else in these bottom two photos is going on the boat and will arrive in three months along with our stuff from the Philippines (which is currently being stored at a warehouse in Miami). We already shipped 4100 pounds from Manila, so that leaves us with 2900 pounds left for the boat today. Let’s hope that everything finds its way to the right place!

Oh, I remember those days . . . and how surprised I always was when everything showed up, and always in the same shape in which I saw it last!! Enjoy the time without all your things, that wonderful unencumbered feeling. I was always amazed at how well I did without all my “stuff”.
Safe travels and look forward to hearing about your new Casa.
Xoxoxo
good luck with the move! i cannot imagine! but, what an adventure!
Safe travels and welcome to your new adventure!
Good luck, Sarah, Nick and little Nia! Enjoy your adventure!
It’s funny, some days I HATE stuff and other days I’m infinitely glad to see it. I’m definitely amazed at how well I fare without it… will write more when we land!
It went well and now we just have the fun task of taking our 7 month old on an international flight. Will be in transit for 12 hours (nothing compared to Manila but still long enough with the babe).
Thanks darlin’!
Thanks Brenda – thought of you today when your beautiful quilt was being packed up!
